A child with household transmitted COVID-19

Case of a 14-month-old boy with a mild form of COVID-19 acquired through household transmission from an adult. Lymphocyte counts did not significantly decrease. Viral RNA in stool and nasopharyngeal swabs remained positive for an extended period of time after the disappearance of symptoms. As reported by other studies in children and adults, these results suggests that patients can be still contagious despite clinical recovery
